About
Hi, I'm Stephanie!
I’m a recovering rule-follower who really likes knowing the assignment. Which is inconvenient, because adulthood keeps handing us enormous decisions with no instructions. 😂
I’ve spent the last fourteen years writing about those decisions—first from the middle of my own life, and then alongside thousands of women asking similar questions.
I’m a nine-time author, TEDx speaker, and the creator and longtime host of the Girls Night podcast. But the thing that makes me happiest is when someone tells me, “It feels like we’ve been friends for years.”
That’s how I hope this shop feels.
I make things for the
Thresholds.
Wondering if you’ll ever meet your person. Building a marriage when two entire human lives are trying to fit together. Becoming a mother and realizing you’ve prepared for the baby, but have a hundred questions about what happens to you. Facing a decision where every option seems to lead to a different life.
I’ve been in many of those places myself. Carl and I lost four jobs between us before our first anniversary. I’ve walked through infertility and IVF, become a mom to twin girls, and moved our family to Spain.
My job, as I see it, is to go first, pay attention, and come back and tell you what I found.
My hope is that by the time one of my books, journals, or courses lands in your hands, I’ve done enough of the wandering around, asking questions, reading, thinking, crying, talking it out with my wisest friends, and scribbling ideas in notebooks that you don’t have to start completely from scratch.
I won't tell you what to do
What you won’t find here is me telling you what to do. You already have enough people doing that. I want to help you turn down the outside voices, figure out what you want, and see possibilities beyond the few versions of life you’ve been shown.
The big decisions are yours to make—but I’m here to help. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
I hope you find something here that helps.
Something that makes you feel understood.
Something that helps you make a decision.
Something that starts an overdue conversation.
Something that makes this particular chapter of your life a little easier, richer, clearer, more yours.
I’m so glad you’re here.
